Attended a cool class Weds nite in Fairfield with the ASMP-NJ chapter. Topic was “speedlights”, in the sense of the newest generations of camera flash, as opposed to studio type flash, which can be operated and manipulated wirelessly.

Several participants brought prints from pro work and personal efforts at trying out off-camera flash with singles and multiple flashes, rear-curtain sync, and we save an inspiring video with pros showing several shoots with really good use of speedlights. I can hardly wait to try out some experiments myself.

Looking over my work recently in building the web site, I realize a lot of my work is done with existing light, so I need to get on it and try some ideas!

Thanks to Tom, David, Ellen, and Norman for the show-and-tell with his personal pro photo gear.
